JOB SUMMARY: We’re looking for a data-inspired modern media thinker who can balance both the rigor and creativity of every media opportunity. Who can drive our largest media account, Edward Jones, with vision, innovation, and a performance-driven mindset; and who is comfortable leading within a matrixed multi-agency team environment. This strategic thinker will partner with all disciplines, provide supervision to direct reports and add to the unique, positive culture at Martin Williams.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Proactively lead all client media strategy meetings to gather input and establish strategic direction
  • Lead and manage the team through media plan development
  • Work with Strategy and Performance Teams to extrapolate meaningful insights to inform campaign and media strategies
  • Use effective communication to present media plans to clients
  • Establish and maintain quality standards for strategic insights, thought leadership and operational excellence
  • Oversee media plan process development and execution management, ensuring best practices
  • Stay on top of, and share knowledge on, media trends and emerging media opportunities
  • Influence the work of cross-functional team members by providing direction and expertise
  • Lead and motivate employees through effective leadership techniques
  • Continuously evaluate and improve upon all digital media opportunities
  • Interface with executives and discipline leads on client side during meetings and presentations
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with agency and media partners

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience working in an agency media department or in-house media department
  • Proven client management and team leadership experience is essential, along with experience in online marketing and digital media
