Reporting to: Senior Data Intelligence Planner

As a Data Analyst, you’ll play an integral role in delivering data-driven marketing insights to the agency and our clients. You’ll be responsible for supporting ongoing audience data management, campaign performance insights, and cross-channel reporting. This position requires quantitative data analysis skills and knowledge of various web/marketing analytics tools, as well as a true passion for data and the insights it can tell us about how people behave.

Key Responsibilities:

Offer thoughtful and deliberate input around website user experience and media campaign execution

Support the development of digital and multi-channel campaign measurement and analysis, including test design, ad-hoc analysis, etc.

Develop actionable recommendations and communicate them in an easy to digest manner

Deliver post-campaign reporting and insights using appropriate and innovative techniques of data retrieval and data visualization (providing trends, conclusions & recommendations)

Gather business requirements and identify measures, approaches, and methodologies for measuring success against objectives       

Leverage advertising data, client internal data, and 3rd party data to provide insights and information to make marketing programs optimally effective

Manage and deliver campaign audience lists or segment files as assigned

Maintain data integrity, organization, and best practice in audience management

Apply various quantitative methods to analyze and interpret information from multiple data sources as needed

Work with marketing stakeholders to leverage personas, customer journeys, and data strategies to develop and implement marketing automation programs

Skills required:

Strong analytical skills, and comfort with MS Excel and data analysis

Working knowledge of paid digital and analytics platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Campaign Manager, Google Keyword Planner, Google Ads, and Google Tag Manager

Basic knowledge of web hosting, web domains, HTML and CSS is a plus

Practical knowledge in generating email and multi-channel communications and the technologies that support this

Knowledge of Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) and Data Management Platforms (DMP)  concepts and tools including customer data integration, campaign management, and tag/pixel management

Understanding of basic statistical concepts (e.g. hypothesis testing, regression analysis)

Strong communications skills; both verbal and written, and a born collaborator

Highly detail oriented and thorough in analysis and reporting


1-2 years experience (or a really robust internship) in related role at an agency or marketing organization

Experience manipulating large datasets       

Technical analytical experience, including – Python, SQL, Tableau, or Data Studio is a plus

Experience with email service providers (Marketing Cloud and Mailchimp preferred)
