Internship summary

 

The Studio Tech intern will work alongside other Studio and agency staff, under the supervision of the Studio Production Supervisor, learning the ins-and-outs of the production process in a creative agency setting. You will learn to produce final materials to spec for both print and digital, including but not limited to: print ads, industry-standard proofs, direct mail, out-of-home, trade shows, product mock-ups, digital display banners, and presentations. The ideal intern candidate is eager to learn, an industrious, self-motivated individual with a high standard for quality, and an out-of-the-box thinker.


Responsibilities

 

Assist the Studio Supervisor with various projects, including preflight, prepress and basic retouching tasks.

Help bring creative concepts to life by repurposing existing assets to create new communication materials.

Track and manage revisions, providing a high level of quality assurance.

Anticipate and troubleshoot issues.

Attend video conference meetings (e.g., Teams meetings, 1-on-1s, and production kick-offs).

Collaborate directly with Production Artists, Project Managers and Print Producers.

Organization and archiving of files on agency server using proper naming conventions.


technical skills and requirements


B.A., B.S. or A.A.S. degree (or equivalent). Graduate by 2/1/2021.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (required: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator; other Adobe programs a plus)

Familiarity with and interest in pre-press and print production processes.

Highly organized with an acute attention to detail.

Some experience in graphic design, typography and retouching.
